About FairFits

FairFits answers one question about furniture: will it actually fit? Not whether it suits your style — whether it clears your doorway, leaves your walkway walkable, and sits in the space you have. A "fair fit" is a verdict, and every verdict we publish shows the working behind it.

Most furniture content online competes on curation and opinion. We compete on dimensional reality. When we say a piece fits a situation, we show the measurements we used, where each number came from, and how confident we are in it. When the numbers say it doesn't fit, we say that too — including for pieces we could earn a commission on.

The site is small and hand-built, starting with three bedroom categories and a growing set of articles. Constraint pages — per-piece verdicts against common room situations — are being measured now. If a number on this site is wrong, we want to know: hello@fairfits.co.

What it does not do

It does not guess. Where a dimension is missing or comes from a source we do not trust, the answer is "not enough to say" rather than a confident verdict.

It does not promise a delivery will succeed. Whether a piece clears your doorway is geometry; whether the crew can turn it in your hallway is not, and the site says so rather than pretending otherwise.

It carries no display advertising. The thing being measured here is whether people find a dimensional tool worth using, and ad clutter would corrupt that reading.

Standards and sources

Clearance figures live in a versioned table with a citation against each row, published in full at the standards page. No figure is written into a sentence by hand anywhere on this site; every one of them is rendered from that table.

Corrections to a dimension or a standard are welcome — see contact.
