Affiliate disclosure
We curate independently and may earn a commission if you buy through our links. Some links on FairFits are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing and does not change the price you pay.
Here is how it works, plainly. We measure pieces and publish fit verdicts. Where a retailer runs an affiliate program, we may link to the piece through that program. The verdict comes first and is never for sale: if the tape measure says a piece doesn't fit a situation, we publish that, commission or not. We do not accept payment for placement, and no retailer sees a verdict before you do.
Affiliate links on this site are marked, and every page that can contain one links back to this disclosure. Questions about any link or relationship: hello@fairfits.co.
What is live right now
34 product mentions across 20 articles and 1 composition link to Amazon. Each names the product in the link itself and enters the sentence on a dimension read from the retailer's listing; the verdict logic is untouched by any of them. Every fit-pick slot is still in its empty state, and no merchant has been paid to appear here.
We take part in affiliate programs run by retailers and by affiliate networks, and we favour programs whose catalogs publish reliable dimensions. Where a retailer's program accepts us, links through it appear in fit-pick slots on the pages where that retailer's pieces have been measured. Those relationships change over time, and this page is reviewed as they do.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. That sentence is Amazon's required wording, quoted exactly, and it renders in the footer of every page on this site. It means what the paragraphs above mean: where a link on this site goes to Amazon, a purchase there may pay us a commission. On this site an Amazon link is a product mention inside an article, where a product is named because of its dimensions; a fit-pick slot may carry one later, under the same rules. Nothing else about an Amazon link is different. The verdict comes first, and we show no Amazon price or image, because Amazon permits neither without its API and we do not have it.
What commission does not change
Verdicts are computed. A piece fits your room, or is tight in it, or does not fit, according to its dimensions and the published standard it is measured against, and every number in that comparison is shown on the page. There is no editorial slot to sell, because there is no editorial judgment to sell: commission cannot move a subtraction.
Where a product's dimensions are uncertain, the site says so rather than rounding in the direction of a sale.
Which retailers we link to is a separate question from which pieces fit. A retailer's affiliate program decides whether we can earn from a link; it never decides the verdict.
How links are handled
- Full retailer URLs, never shortened, cloaked, or bounced through a redirector.
- Outbound affiliate links carry
rel="sponsored nofollow". - This disclosure appears above the first affiliate link on any page carrying one, not only in the footer, enforced by a build check rather than by memory.
- Where the link goes to Amazon, Amazon's own sentence appears above it as well, and the same build check requires it.
- No Amazon price or image is shown anywhere on this site.
- Where another retailer's program requires specific wording or handling, it is applied on the pages that link to that retailer.
- No display advertising runs on this site.
- We do not run coupons, cashback, or paid search, and we do not bid on retailer brand terms.
