FairFits collects as little as possible. We do not require accounts, we do not run ads, and we do not sell or share personal information. This page describes everything we do collect, in full.
The measurements you type into the calculator stay in your browser. The whole check runs there — the clearance engine is bundled into the page — so your room dimensions are not transmitted, stored, or logged anywhere.
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics product, to count page views and outbound clicks — which pin, which article, which link — and whether a fit check was completed and what kind of verdict it produced. These events are aggregated and contain no names, emails, or precise locations. The measurements themselves are never part of them.
Why count anything at all: the open question this site exists to answer is whether people will supply their room dimensions to get a real answer. That is measured by counting completed checks, which needs no personal data to be useful.
This site sets no cookies of its own, and its fonts are served from this domain rather than a third party, so reading a page here contacts nobody else. If you arrive from Pinterest, the page keeps that one fact in your browser for the length of the visit, so that an Amazon link can carry the tracking ID that tells Amazon the visit came from Pinterest; it is stored nowhere else and is gone when the tab closes. If you email us, we keep the email to reply to it. Affiliate retailers may set their own cookies after you click through to their site; their privacy policies govern from that point — see the affiliate disclosure.
You can read this site with any blocker enabled and everything will work. If we ever change what we collect, this page changes first. Questions: hello@fairfits.co.
