Dressers, measured
A dresser is the piece that fits the wall and still fails the room. The case itself sits flat and looks fine in the listing; the trouble starts when a drawer opens and needs its own territory in front — plus you, standing in it. Bedrooms are crossed by paths people walk every day, and a dresser placed on instinct usually parks its open drawers directly in one.
The fit questions here are about fronts, not footprints. What actually faces the dresser — the foot of the bed, a closet door, the room's main walkway? Do the drawers clear it with a person in the gap? Is the wall you're eyeing interrupted by a window, a vent, or an outlet you can't give up? And does the top land at a height that works under that window, or as the surface you actually sort laundry on?
This hub exists to answer those questions per piece. Below, we're building a directory of constraint pages: each takes one real dresser, lays its case and drawer-extension dimensions against common room situations, and issues a verdict with the working shown. No mood boards, no "editor's picks" — a fit or not, and why. While the directory fills in, read the corner-space article for the general method, or walk your room's paths now so the verdicts mean something when they land.

Enter the piece and your room. Every number in the answer is shown, along with the standard it was measured against. Nothing is sent anywhere — the whole check runs in your browser.
Constraint pages
directory · in measurementEach page will show the piece's dimensions, the clearances worked out, where the numbers came from, and how confident we are in them. Until they publish, the tables below answer the same questions for the 2 pieces measured so far.
Fit across common room sizes
Computed at build time for the fixture pieces below — the same engine, the same rule set, the same working as the calculator above.

Getting it through the door
Delivery is the least-served question in this category and the easiest to get quietly wrong, so the assumptions travel with the answer: assembled, legs on, and a hung door leaf deducted from the opening unless the door comes off.

Where these pieces come from
2 fixture pieces on this page, 2 still awaiting verification against a published spec sheet. Dimensional values carry their origin and a confidence score, and a value the engine only half-trusts cannot produce a clean verdict. This category has not published yet: it carries no product listings and no affiliate links.
This page renders 20 computed facts. A page below its minimum fails the build rather than shipping thin.
